High Country Brass History
High Country Brass is in its 6th season as the only “All-Age” drum and bugle corps located in the
Rocky Mountain region. All-Age/Senior drum corps do not have age limits and are
prevalent in other areas of the US but are new to Colorado.
High Country Brass was
started by a number of former marching members with a desire to continue performing.
Our grass-roots local organization encourages member participation
in management and direction. The primary goals of our new staff and management team
are to provide fun and enjoyment
for each marching member and to entertain our audiences to the highest degree possible.
Our members range in age from young to mature with very diverse marching backgrounds.
Some of our members have marched with drum corps such as:
* Santa Clara Vanguard
* Blue Devils
* Madison Scouts
* Blue Knights
* Troopers
* Freelancers
* Sky Ryders
* St. Ignatius
* Golden Eagles
* Quad City Knights
We also have many members from the Denver Citywide marching band as well as local high schools.
High Country Brass participates in many local performances, such as parades, exhibitions at sporting events, festivals, etc.
Beginning in 2010, High Country Brass will begin competing at Senior DCA and DCI level competitions.
2010 promises to be an exciting season!
Please feel free to contact any member of
